The world-famous Eerie Erie is a Halloween-themed 5k and 10k race that runs through historic downtown Erie and takes advantage of our beautiful trail system that weaves along the Coal Creek open space areas. The 10k passes by scenic Pleasant Hill Cemetery with panoramic views and where friendly spirits can’t wait to visit this year’s runners.
We are thrilled to announce that our event has been designated as an official BOLDERBoulder Qualifier event! You can use your finishing time from our race to qualify for one of the BOLDERBoulder’s qualified waves. For more details on the BB10K qualifying waves, please visit this link.

On-site registration: 7:30am – 9:20am*
Packet pick up: 7:30am – 9:15am
Awards Ceremony will be directly after the races have finished.

👻 Goblin Run Returns!
🎃 The Goblin Run is Back for 2026!
We’re thrilled to announce that the Goblin Run for kids returning again for the 2026 Eerie Erie! This family favorite gives little ghosts and goblins a chance to join the fun with their very own special dash.
👟 Event Details:
• Start Time: 11:00 a.m. (at the main starting line)
• Course: A clockwise loop around the grass area, finishing by the playground (look for signs at the finish).
• Ages: 10 and under
• Costumes: Encouraged—after all, it’s the Eerie Erie!
• Adult Supervision: All participants must be accompanied by a grown-up.

Do you allow dogs to run in the 5k or 10k
It is ok to run with your dog. We just ask that you line up in the back for the safety of the other runners and keep the dogs on a short leash
Can I run/walk with a stroller
Yes, strollers are allowed in the run we just ask that you line up in the back for the safety of the runners.
Parking
There is no specific parking for the event.
You can park along the streets of Erie. There is a public parking lots at Coal Creek Park
